Showing Kindness To Everyone

-March 9, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Lord’s Day,

“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

(Ephesians 4:32).

We live in an unkind world. We as believers must stand out by showing kindness to everyone, even those who are unkind. Sometimes we don’t feel like being kind to those who wrong us. We simply can’t let our emotions get away from us.

Kindness is defined as, “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.” Kindness flows from those who have been redeemed. Kindness is one the fruit of the Holy Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

Friendly – We like being around people who a personable and upbeat. Being friendly is contagious and spreads quickly. It can be a smile, a touch, a laugh, or a look. Proverbs 17:17 says, “ A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

Generous – Being kind leads to generosity and self-sacrifice, and helpfulness. Proverbs 22:9 tells us, “He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor.” We should be generous with our time as well as with our money.

Considerate – A kind person thinks more of others than of himself. Being considerate is letting others go first, thinking of other’s feelings, and doing the right thing. In driving at a four way stop letting another car go first, letting people in front of you cross the street, and opening the door for someone.

May the Lord help us to be kind to all. It helps make others take notice of our testimony for Christ. Have a blessed day showing kindness. Stay safe and healthy.

Don’t fall behind in being kind.

God Says, “I, Even I.”

-March 8, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Saturday,

“I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior.”

(Isaiah 43:11)

Whenever God speaks, we should listen. The Bible is the only book that has God speaking in the first person. Five times in Scripture we find this expression, “I, even I.”

The other four references are: Deuteronomy 32:29; Isaiah 43:25; Isaiah 51:12; and Ezekiel 5:8). God says that He is the only Savior, He blots out our transgressions, He comforts us, and He rebukes us.

All other gods are mere idols and false gods. Paul said in Acts 17:28-29, “For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your poets have said, ‘for we are also His offspring. Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by man’s devising.”

Our God is the mighty God, the living God, the loving God. He speaks to us through His Word; We just have to listen to Him.

Have a blessed day listening to the Lord speak. Stay safe and healthy.

The Great I AM helps me be all that I am for His glory.

The Lord Has Need Of It

-March 7, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Friday,

“And He said to them, ‘Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it. And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, the Lord has need of it,’ and immediately he will send it here.”

Jesus came in fulfillment the Old Testament Scriptures and all righteousness. Zechariah the prophet wrote, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt the foal of a donkey” (Zechariah 9:9).

Jesus needed a donkey to ride into Jerusalem on, so He sent two of His disciples to get one. He gave them very specific instructions on how to find and bring back a donkey that no one ever sat on. Donkeys are known to be stubborn, yet this animal was submissive to her Creator.

If anyone questioned them for taking the donkey, they were to say, “The Lord has need of it.” think about that for a moment: Christ has need of things and people in His kingdom. Even more remarkable, He needs you and me!

God needed a shipbuilder, so He raised up Noah to build the ark; He needed a temple so He led Solomon and later Zerubbabel; and He raised up Peter to build His church. God chooses us, calls us, equips us, and sends us out in the world to represent Him.

You may not think of yourself as that important, but God considers that you are. He is counting on all us to do our part in His service. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.

If Christ can use a lowly donkey, He can use even me.

Reserved In Heaven For You

-March 6, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Thursday,

“To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.”

(1 Peter 1:4).

There are times in our lives that we must make reservations, either over the phone or on the internet. It may be to book a hotel, rent a car, schedule a plane ticket, a campground, or any number of other things. It gives you peace of mind, knowing everything is arranged and secured.

We as believers in Christ have a reservation in heaven. Once we are saved, we are saved forever. God writes our names in the Book of life. Jesus said, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-3).

Every believer has an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance reserved for us in heaven. Earthly inheritances can’t compare our heavenly one. Our heavenly inheritance from the Lord will last forever—it can never be lost or diminished.

May the Lord help us to remember our inheritance—it is reserved for us in heaven. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.

To receive our inheritance we must receive Christ our Savior.

The Lamp And Light Of The Word

-March 5, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Wednesday,

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

(Psalm 119:105).

Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. There are 176 verses, and nearly every verse in it speaks of the Word of God.

The unknown psalmist mentions several important words to describe God’s truth: testimonies. law, word(s), statutes, precepts, commandments, judgments, and ordinances. We all need the Word God’s Word everyday. It is our spiritual food.

The Word of God gives light to our path one step at a time. In Bible days the people didn’t have electricity as we have today. If they needed to walk at night they had to carry a lamp that was fueled by olive oil. It gave just enough light to see just ahead.

We need God’s truth to live by in our dark and sinful world. Paul tells us the uses of God’s Word, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

God has answers to our questions, and solutions to our problems; He guides us through every circumstances. He uses His Word to guide us personally and specifically. Two different people can read the same verse or passage and get something different out of it for their lives. Even when one person reads it, he or she will get something different on different occasions.

God’s lamp gives us illumination, inspiration, and instruction at just the right time and in the right way. Psalm 119:130 says, “The entrance of Your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Let us walk with the Lord in the light of His Word.

Have blessed day on God’s well-lit path, we can never go wrong. Stay safe and healthy.

God’s Word tells us where to walk and how to walk to be the light of His presence daily.
