The Holy Land – God’s Country

-December 27, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Saturday,

“And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land.”

(Zechariah 2:12).

Today’s verse is the only reference in the Bible to the Holy Land; even so, Israel’s past and future is found through the Bible.

In the Bible, The Holy Land is also known as the Land of Canaan, the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey, Beulah Land. God promised this land to Israel forever; and when God makes a promise, He keeps it.

When Joshua and the children of Israel entered the Promised Land, they had to fight its inhabitants to secure it. God was with them and gave them the victory.

The land is not the biggest,in fact, it is one of the smallest; nor were His people the greatest or the most populated. But all that really matters it is their land.

Nations down through the centuries have fought wars over control of it and have had ruled over it. Then in 1948, Israel became a nation with its own form of government; even today, Israel lives surrounded by her enemies and has few allies.

I love Israel and the Jews around the world. They need our prayers and support more than ever. There is so much antisemitism, still they God’s ancient people with a glorious future in the Holy Land.

Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

God’s Protection In Every Situation

-December 26, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Friday,

“…Arise and take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”

(Matthew 2:13).

Whether we see it or not, or know it or not, our God who never slumbers or sleeps, is watching over us. This was especially true of the Father protecting His Son from an angry, jealous, vindictive, and crazed King Herod, who sought to destroy Him.

By his actions, Herod was serious by ordering all baby boys, two and under, in and around Bethlehem, to be executed. Before he could do that to Jesus, God instructed Joseph to take Mary and Jesus down to Egypt, until further instructions. Once Herod was dead, God commanded them to return home to Israel, sending them back to Nazareth.

God knows the future and what is best for us and how to accomplish His plan for us. I thank the Lord that He is my Defender; for God protects His people. 2 Chronicles 19:34 says, “I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and the sake of My servant David” (NIV).

What comfort we can take that the Lord provides for, protects, and preserves us. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy,

Nothing get past the Lord but what He allows.

The Day Has Arrived

-December 25, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Thursday, Merry Christmas,

“So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.”

(Luke 2:6).

After all the preparation and anticipation, there is now the joyful celebration! God’s greatest gift was born for us, and was given for us. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:6, “But thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.” You may receive many gifts today, but will be greater. He is the Gift that keeps on on keeps on giving!

But how do you describe the indescribable? We often say, “I can’t describe it, you have to see it for yourself.” Reporters have the task of putting the details of people and events so that others can see or hear what has happened. A good reporter will make like you were there. I’d say Luke was a great reporter on the life of Jesus.

Can you imagine interviewing the shepherds who were the first to see the newborn King! The angels announced it, the shepherds believed it, ran to see it, and then went forth to proclaim it. Luke 2:20 says, “Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, just as it was told them.” For them, for us, for the world, nothing would ever be the same again.

The hymn writer said it so well, “Rejoice and be glad, the Redeemer has come. Go look on His cradle, His cross, and His tomb. Hallelujah Thine the glory! Hallelujah Amen. Hallelujah Thine the glory, revive us again.”

Have a blessed day with family and friends; sharing His love, mercy, and grace that changed us for all eternity. Stay safe and healthy.

Let us proclaim the glories of His name; of what He has done and all of His fame.

The Day Before the Day Before

-December 24, 2025

Good morning beloved, happy Wednesday, Merry Christmas,

“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying. ‘Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, good will to men.”

(Luke 2:13-14).

It seems almost everyone loves Christmas, with the exception, of the lonely, the isolated, and the depressed. Kids especially and to all the gifts they will receive. We need a whole month to prepare for and celebrate such a blessed day. It is more than a holiday, it is a holy day.

The true meaning of Christmas is lost amid the trees, lights, decorations, gift-giving. It is easy to forget that Christ was born to save us and bring us peace, joy, eternal life, forgiveness, and hope.

Today is commonly called Christmas Eve. The first Christmas Eve was filled anxiety for Mary and Joseph. How would the birth work out in a manger? For us the anticipation is definitely building toward Christmas Day.

Have a blessed day heading toward Christmas Day. Stay safe and healthy.

Christmas Eve is a blessed day in and of itself.

Wrapped In Swaddling Cloths And Laid In Manger

-December 23, 2025-

Good morning morning beloved, happy Tuesday, Merry Christmas,

“And she brought forth a Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the in the inn.”

(Luke 2:7).

Jesus’ birth was unlike any other, because He was unlike any other. He was the Son of God. He was the perfect God-Man.

What a journey from heaven to earth; and after His resurrection, He returned to heaven. The angels must have gasped when saw Him born in lowly manger. Imagine, their Lord not being born into the finest accomadations.

Jesus didn’t have best accommodations here on earth in heaven, but back in heaven there great glory. But one day when we to heaven, we will have the best accommodations in heaven.

In Jesus’ day shepherds took the finest care of the lambs who were to be sacrificed at the temple. They would not allow them any defects They wrapped them in soft swaddling clothes. Jesus is perfect Lamb of God.

Have blessed day preparing your hearts for Christmas. Stay safe and healthy.

Jesus chose to born in a manger and walk in this world as a homeless stranger.
