Bearing Burdens

-September 29, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Monday,

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

Paul loved the brothers and sisters and bore their burdens. He prayed for them and helped them, not seeking to be a burden to them or on them. Therefore, he made tents to support himself and give to the work of the Lord.

We all need a helping hand. You may be discouraged, sick, injured, or recovering from a surgery. Paul tells us to look around us and see how we can bear their burdens.

The word burden is defined as, “a load, typically a heavy one; something that is carried.” Paul uses the Greek word baros, meaning weight. It comes from the Greek root barus, denoting something heavy. It is used five times in the NT.

There are several types of burdens we can bear for and with others: spiritual, physical, mental, material, and financial. Each one can be hard to carry by alone. There are many burdened people around us who need a text, email, or phone call.

One of the greatest and heaviest burdens is loneliness, especially among the elderly. But younger people can be lonely as well. So many live alone and feel isolated.

The question is, “how can I help?” We all have our own issues and problems To be a burden bearer, we must be a love sharer. It can’t be just out of duty. When we do, we are fulfilling the law of Christ, the law of love.

Have a blessed day serving others and bearing their burdens. Stay safe and healthy.

Christ bore our burden on the cross; let us bear the burdens of others wherever we walk.

Abide In Jesus And His Word

-September 28, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Lord’s Day,

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

(John 15:7).

Contextually, today’s verse is in the Upper Room with Jesus and His disciples. Our Savior spoke to them to comfort and encourage them before going to the Garden of Gethsemane and His subsequent arrest and crucifixion.

In John 15, Jesus uses the word abide nine times in verses 1-9. The word abide is defined as, “to remain stable or fixed in a state.” When we abide in Christ and His Word, we are dwelling with Him. He is not just visiting, He is living with us.

Jesus said in John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit m; for without Me who can do nothing.” To be effective and victorious, we must abide in Christ.

The closer we are to Jesus, the further we’ll be from this world. We are in the world, but we are not of the world. We are different, we stand out. Christ is our hope.

The first verse of the great hymn, “Abide with Me,” says, “Abide with me—fast falls the even tide; The darkness deepens—Lord with me abide; When other helpers fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me.”

I don’t know what trial you are going through today. My youngest cousin just passed away. She is a believer and was ready to go home to heaven. Please pray me and all our family. May God pour out His mercy and grace like the balm of Gilead.

Have a blessed day. Keep abiding in Jesus. Stay safe and healthy.

When we abide with Him, He will abide with us.

Put On Christ

-September 27, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Saturday,

“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lust.”

(Romans 13:14).

When we get up in the morning we have to get dressed to be prepared for the day. We put on our cleanest, nicest clothes; we want to look good.

For the Christian, we have something greater to put on to prepare us to go out into the world. We have Christ. He has saved us and given us new life. To put on Christ is to live freely and fully for Him and with Him.

Paul wrote in Galatians 3:27, “For as many of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Baptism here refers to our spiritual baptism, the putting off of sin; not water baptism. Though baptism by immersion is essential to identity ourselves as believers.

We are also told to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11); to put on the new nature (Colossians 3:10); and put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering (Colossians 3:12).

We need to wear our faith in righteousness, holiness, and love. Christ is our light, our life, our love. We must live Christ before others walking in His steps. Just as the Israelites whose clothing and sandals never wore out; so too, our garments are eternal. We give all the glory to the Lord.

Are you dressed with Christ today? Only then can we have victory over the lusts of the flesh. Have a blessed day with Christ and for Christ. Stay safe and healthy.

You’re not properly dressed until you put on Christ.

An Backwards World

-September 26, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Friday,

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

(Isaiah 5:20).

It seems as if Isaiah was writing to us today and it applies to us. People are far from God and the truth. Satan feeds them lies, blinds their hearts, and keeps them from Christ. In 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Paul wrote, “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”

Christians are being attacked and blamed for society’s woes. We are accused of being bigots, narrow-minded, and unloving. They are calling good evil. How sad is that! They also call evil good. Whether it is abortion, fornication, adultery, or same sex relationships. Their thinking is upside down and backwards.

What are we to do? The psalmist asked that question hundreds of years ago in Psalm 11:3, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” We can stand up and speak up; we can build strong churches that preach and teach the Word of God; and we build strong families.

Let us pray for our nation to turn back to God. We need a revival, which must begin with me and you. We need a fresh outpouring of the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives.

Have a blessed day living for Jesus in a dark and sinful world. Stay safe and healthy.

Let us rather call good good, and evil evil. After all, there is right and wrong.

Walk In The Light Of The Lord

-September 25, 2025-

Good morning dear saints, happy Thursday,

“O house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the Lord.”

(Isaiah 2:5).

The answer to the darkness of this world is to walk in the light of the Lord. The days we are living in are getting darker, we then must let our lights shine brighter.

1 John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” Light extinguishes darkness. We as believers are children of light and Jesus called us the light of the world.

Isaiah had a strong message for Israel for their evil ways. They worshipped other gods and turned from the Lord. They had ceased being a beacon to the whole world.

Our testimony depends on our walking in the light. Light in Scripture speaks of righteousness, holiness, and truth. We are called upon to let our light shine before men so that they will see our good works and glorify God (See Matthew 5:16).

Are you walking in the light of the Lord on a daily basis? It is a challenge to every believer. In Jesus’ name we press on. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.

The stars shine in the heavens, we shine on earth.
