The Sign Of The Virgin Birth

-December 2, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday, Merry Christmas,

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: ‘Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.’”

(Isaiah 7:14).

Today’s verse is an amazing verse, much like a multifaceted diamond, showing the sign of the virgin birth and His name is Immanuel. The Spirit of God revealed to the people of Israel an unprecedented miracle that the Christ, the Messiah, would be born of the virgin.

How could this be? There was no human father involved, for He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. God Himself gave this sign hundreds of years before it happened. Signs in the Bible were God’s demonstrations and authentications of what is to come.

When the Jews in Jesus’ day asked for a sign, He gave no new sign but the sign of Jonah in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights. This pointed to His, death, burial, and resurrection.

When the angel came to Jacob, he quoted this verse to him as a reminder and a confirmation of the promise. Two of the greatest miracles in the Bible were fulfilled in Jesus: the virgin birth and the resurrection.

There were some occasions in Scripture where people like Jacob, Gideon, Hezekiah asked for one. There were other times when God gave the sign without being asked in the case of the birth of Samson to Manoah and his wife, and to King Ahab prior to a victorious battle over the enemies of Israel and what he should do, which he did only partially, causing his victory to be only partial.

There are so many Messianic prophecies in the OT sprinkled throughout the Psalms and the Prophets. God made sure there could be no doubt or question who Jesus was. We will look at many of these prophecies that pointed to our Savior’s birth into the world as we move forward in this Christmas season.

Have a blessed day rejoicing in His first coming while looking forward to His Second Coming. Stay safe and healthy.

All signs point to Christ the way, the only way to come to the Father.

Here Am I, Send Me

-December 1, 2025-

Good morning, beloved, happy Monday, Merry Christmas,

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and shall go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’

(Isaiah 6:8).

God’s plan of salvation was conceived in the mind of God in eternity past, way before man was created and fell into sin. Our loving God formulated and carried out the plan to absolute perfection.

The hymn writer William R. Newell wrote in his hymn, “At Calvary” the wonderful words, “O the love that drew salvation’s plan! O the grace that brought it down to man! O the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary.” The plan began its fulfillment with the birth of Christ.

God fulfills every promise completely and perfectly. Today’s verse shows our Savior Jesus Christ’s desire to come to save us from our sins. Through Scripture, we are privy to a conversation between God the Son and God the Father. Jesus volunteered for the mission, saying, “Here am I, send me.”

Only Jesus the Son of God could carry out this mission. There are so many missions, especially in wartime, they going in would mean certain death. Why do those brave men take on such a task? They do it because they love their country. God loved us so much that He sent His own and well beloved Son to save us.

1 John 4:10, “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” Oh what a love!

Have a blessed day as we begin the Christmas season. Stay safe and healthy.

The Heavenly Volunteer calls on us to volunteer for His service with willingness, compassion, and love.

All Things That Pertain To Life And Godliness

-Good morning beloved, happy Lord’s Day,

“As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”

(2 Peter 1:3).

The little word all makes all the difference in the world. God doesn’t just give us things that pertain to life and godliness, He gives us all things that pertain to life and godliness. The moment we are saved we receive it all.

We receive an inheritance reserved for us in heaven. We become heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, and all things belong to us because we belong to Him. Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

In today’s text, Peter describes what the all means, it means all things that pertain to life and godliness. He gives it to us so wonderfully freely, and abundantly. We are so blessed and privileged to be in Christ.

The word pertain is defined as, “to be appropriate, related, or applicable; to belong as a duty or right.” What we have in Christ is always by His grace for our good and for His glory. He gives all the tools necessary to complete our mission.

It all started for us at the cross. He has given us everything because of His on the cross. Romans 8:32 says, “He who spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things.”

Have a blessed Lord’s Day remembering the Lord Jesus and what He did for us on the cross and all He has given to us. Stay safe and healthy.

Casting All Our Cares Upon God

-November 29, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Saturday,

“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

(1 Peter 5:7).

Peter, the one who denied his Lord three times, was restored by the Lord Jesus to a life of complete surrender, sanctification, and sacrifice.

I truly believe that Peter developed a keen sense of sympathy and empathy toward all the people of God. He loved them and wanted to strengthen and encourage them through their fiery trials.

We all go through trials, troubles, and traumas in life. instead of fretting, worrying, and fearing; we are to cast all our care upon Him. We live a very stressful, fearful, and tearful world.

We often carry our burdens ourselves instead of casting them on the Lord. We somehow think Jesus might be too busy to care for our small, personal cares; quite the opposite is true. He loves us and cares for us; He desires to carry our burdens. All we have to do is cast them on Him through prayer.

The Greek word for casting is epiripto, meaning “to cast upon.” In Psalm 55:22, David wrote, “Cast you burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” The word moved can be rendered shaken.

When we cast our cares upon the Lord, we must surrender them to Him and leave them with Him. Someone once said, “If it concerns you, it concerns Him.”

Have a blessed day casting all your cares on Him; He will surely give you grace and will be with you through it all. Stay safe and healthy.

When the sky is dark and gray, He shine on us in every way. He removes burdens and gives peace in its place.

Two Types Of Spiritual Gifts

-November 28, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Friday,

“If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

(1 Peter 4:11).

There are three places in the NT that list and describe spiritual gifts. them. They are found in Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4, and 1 Peter 4. It makes it easier to remember them.

Though there are quite a few spiritual gifts listed in these chapters, Peter chose to put them into two main categories: speaking gifts and serving gifts. The Holy Spirit has given each us one or more spiritual gifts.

• Speak as the oracles of God – Speaking in the church includes preaching, teaching, Sunday School teaching, and anytime we share the gospel to those who are unsaved. It is a huge responsibility and a great privilege to speak forth the Word of God. Another word for “oracles” is, “utterances.”

Minister (or serve) with the ability that God that God supplies – In reality a minister is one who serves humbly, faithfully, freely, and fully, not just behind the pulpit.

I believe that I have both speaking and serving gifts. I exercise both of them at church and all through the week. When I was young, I used to think of preaching as the most important ministry. As I grew older, I realized that serving and helping others is just as important as preaching and teaching.

Do you know your spiritual gift or gifts that God has given to you? The main goal of using our gifts is to glorify God and bring honor to the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed Friday speaking and serving. Stay safe and healthy.

May we serve our wonderful master in heaven, with the ability that He has given.
