The Changes Of Life

-January 7, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Wednesday,

“For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O house of Jacob.”

(Malachi 3:6).

Everything and everyone in this world changes. Life comes in stages: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and retirement. We often resist change; we like things the way they are: Change is hard.

What is vital is that we seek, know, do God’s will. The God who does not change wants to change us for our growth and for His glory. His plan is always best though we do not understand it now.

We cannot say we know better than the Lord. I am in one of those hard, uncomfortable circumstances. God knows all things that we do not know. Someone once said, “When God bolts a door, don’t try to go through a window.” When He brings a change, we must accept it and embrace it.

God has proven His unchanging faithfulness. The hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” is such a blessing to my heart. The first verse says, “Great is Thy Faithfulness, O God my Father, there is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not Thy compassions they fail not. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.”

As Hudson Taylor once said, “The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you.” Have a blessed day in whatever the Lord has for you. Stay safe and healthy.

Change is good for the soul when the unchangeable God is doing changing.
