Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday,
“So he answered me: ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
(Zechariah 4:6).
There is no power that even comes close to God’s power. It is the same power that parted the Red Sea and defeated Pharaoh and his powerful army; the same power that raised Jesus from the dead; the same power that filled the apostles on the day of Pentecost. Time and time again in the Scriptures, God wielded His power on behalf of His people.
Human nature says, “I can handle this..” I can do this.” Is this not a small matter?” Big or small, we need His power for it all. We must surrender to the Lord and let Him work on our behalf. Whether at work or school, whether at church or at home; no matter where we go and in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.
God have Zerubbabel the immense task of rebuilding the temple, one even greater that Solomon’s temple. What a mission, what a commission! God told him how it could and should be done: “by My Spirit.”
Has God shown you what needs to be done? Hudson Taylor, the great missionary to China said, “God’s will, done in God’s way, will never lack supply.” What a great assurance!
The next time you are in a tight spot, not knowing what to do, trust God and pray; rely fully on Him. Let us remember His word, “Not by night nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.”
Have a blessed day in whatever God has for you. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Stay and healthy.
I can’t but He can, and it’s all part of the divine plan.
