Waiting For The Promise

-December 17, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Wednesday, Merry Christmas,

“And behold, there was a man Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.”

(Luke 2:25-26).

Every time I read the story of Simeon, it is a great blessing. He was a godly man, just and devout. We don’t know exactly when God made this a promise that he would not die until he saw the Messiah.

I believe it was a very long time before this moment that he would not only see Him but he got to hold Him in his arms. He the praised the Lord and prophesied about our Savior and of His mother Mary. The whole account of Simeon is found in Luke 2;25-35.

Can one person make a difference in the world? We as believers are waiting for the Lord to come again. and waiting for the Lord to answer our prayers. Sometimes, like Simeon, we must wait and keep praying. Often the longer we wait, the sweeter the answer. We should always thank and praise Him, and give glory to His name.

Keep seeking the Savior and waiting for the promise of His coming again and all His promises. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.

Keep waiting on the Lord and don’t give up. Simeon kept waiting patiently and faithfully.
