The Word Became Flesh

-December 16, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday, Merry Christmas,

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”

(John 1:14).

I hope you have all been blessed by the Scriptures that speak of the birth Christ. Matthew and especially Luke, devote quite a bit on the subject. Mark begins with the start of Jesus’ earthly ministry and John emphasizes who Jesus is, the eternal Son of God.

John 20:30 gives the purpose of his gospel, “And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. “

With all this said, John establishes that Jesus is the Word of God. Both Jesus and the Scriptures are the called the Word of God. He opens his gospel with the stirring words, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1).

Now that we have established that Jesus is the Word, it leads us to our verse today, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” How wonderful is that! The God of the universe came down to us to bring us light and life.

John was among the three disciples, the others were Peter and James. That Jesus took up to a high mountain, called the Mount of Transfiguration and He revealed His glory. They saw Jesus in whole new light.

Let walk with our Lord and be confident in Him that He is the reason for the season. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.

From the cradle to the cross, from the cross to the grave; to the empty tomb to His glorious resurrection and to His ascension back to glory
