Good morning beloved, happy Friday,
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For YAH, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.”
(Isaiah 12:2).
Isaiah’s circumstances were not always easy or pleasant. In today’s text, he turns his eyes to the Lord who is the God of his salvation. God was also is his strength and his song.
If we look to ourselves we will discouraged; if we look to others we will be disappointed; and if we look to our circumstances we will be fearful; but if we look to the Lord, He will lift us up. Our lives are in His hands, therefore we can trust in Him and not be afraid. The Lord is our confidence, we put no confidence in the flesh.
David made the confident declaration in Psalm 3:3, “I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.” Do we not have fear all around us?
Trust in the Lord overcomes our fears. We often fear in the present of what might happen in the future. Many things we fear today never do happen tomorrow. People fear the unknown, the uncertain, and the unseen. Why do we fear the worst and not trust God for the best.
When we trust the Lord, remain positive and prayerful, we will find the Lord is our Rock. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.
Let us look upward and Godward, so we can see clearly to move forward.
