A Future And A Hope

Good morning beloved, happy Saturday,

“For I know the thoughts (or plans) I think (or have) toward you,’ says the Lord, ‘thoughts (or plans) of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11).

We have all experienced dark and hopeless days. It seems the world is caving in and we are caught in it. This was the case of the people of Judah who were taken captive, and whose captivity would last for 70 years.

The people were in great sorrow, fear, and trepidation. In the midst of these grave circumstances, God gave them a hope and a future. God’s plan was to bring them back to their homeland.

We should never lose hope, never quit, never give up. Someone once said, “Don’t give up too early“ God’s movies always have a happy ending. Dark clouds and rain will turn to bright sun and warmer days.

God knows the end of the story and it is always for our good and His glory. God’s plans are not only for the future, but for the present as well. God told them while in captivity to build houses, plant gardens, eat fruit, marry, bear children, and give their sons and daughters in marriage. They were increase and not to diminish in any way (See Jeremiah 29:5-7).
