“And now, Israel, what does the Lord require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,”
Good morning beloved, happy Monday,
(Deuteronomy 10:12).
You can’t be a half-hearted, half-committed Christian. You have to be all in. Some people go to church but don’t progress to maturity and fruitfulness, They dapple in Christianity.
The word dabble is defined as, “to take part in an activity in a casual or superficial way.” Are you a dabbler or a disciple of Christ. The best analogy I can think of is coming near a lake. The best thing to do is to dive in, or you may jump in, or you can step in, but if you are timid, you can dip your foot in the water.
1 Samuel 12:24 says, “Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you” When we consider what Christ has done for us on the cross, can we not lay down our lives for Him?
Jesus never forced anyone to follow Him nor does He today, He wants us to take our walk with Him seriously and not superficially or for granted.
Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.
In the church, we need more divers and fewer dabblers. We must choose.
