Good morning beloved, happy Friday,
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
(Isaiah 5:20).
It seems as if Isaiah was writing to us today and it applies to us. People are far from God and the truth. Satan feeds them lies, blinds their hearts, and keeps them from Christ. In 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Paul wrote, “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”
Christians are being attacked and blamed for society’s woes. We are accused of being bigots, narrow-minded, and unloving. They are calling good evil. How sad is that! They also call evil good. Whether it is abortion, fornication, adultery, or same sex relationships. Their thinking is upside down and backwards.
What are we to do? The psalmist asked that question hundreds of years ago in Psalm 11:3, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” We can stand up and speak up; we can build strong churches that preach and teach the Word of God; and we build strong families.
Let us pray for our nation to turn back to God. We need a revival, which must begin with me and you. We need a fresh outpouring of the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives.
Have a blessed day living for Jesus in a dark and sinful world. Stay safe and healthy.
Let us rather call good good, and evil evil. After all, there is right and wrong.
