Unquenchable Love

-September 24, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Wednesday,

“Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, it would be utterly despised.”

(Song of Solomon 8:7).

Love is strong, deep, and wonderful. It goes far beyond emotion to involve actions and the will. Love should be sown, should be shown, and should be grown.

God’s love is perfect and never fails. God cannot love us any more than He does right now, nor will He ever love us any less. No matter what we do or don’t do, say or don’t say.

God wants us to love each other with same type of unquenchable, unconditional, unending love. The word quench is defined as, “to put out, extinguish; to eliminate or terminate.” God’s love is like a raging fire that is uncontrollable and unstoppable.

In the context of our verse is the love that the Shulamite had for her beloved. Though our love is imperfect and falls so short, we strive to love as He loves us. Whether it be a husband and wife, a parent and child, a family member and another loved one, or a friend with a friend; love makes life better and sweeter.

Love even lets live strangers and our enemies. May we have this type of love. They say you can’t buylove and that is so true.

Have a blessed day. Stay safe, healthy, and loving.

Love is the irresistible force that overcomes the immovable objects.
