Bringing Good From A Bad Situation

-September 15, 2025-

Good morning dear ones, happy Monday,

“I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

(Revelation 1:9).

Last night I watched a Christian move called “Patmos.” The Apostle John, one of the twelve disciples was banished there for his outspoken faith and testimony of Christ in a world hostile to our Lord Jesus Christ and His followers.

I was moved by the severity and cruelty of the persecution by the Romans. God used this time of banishment to give John the Revelation of the future events. We are so blessed as a result.

Only God could turn a bad situation into something good and profitable Paul wrote in Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those are called according to His purpose.”

I decided to do some research on the island called Patmos. It was no vacation spot or somewhere where you would want to be. The Romans banished prisoners there to this small, rocky Greek island on the Aegean Sea. It is still there today. In and of itself it was just a small dot, but it was significant because John the servant of the Lord was there and it was where God gave John the Revelation.

The lesson we learn is that we are never alone because the Lord is with us. He never forgets us even in most adverse circumstances. We all have our Patmos’ where we feel isolated and alone. Some saints are sick or shut in and feel they have no purpose or usefulness.

When we stand for the Lord and His Word, won’t be popular or treated well. What a blessing to please the Lord wherever we are. Where has God called you? The Lord will use your prayers and efforts to bless the people of God.

Have a blessed day wherever God has placed you. We may not understand why things happen to us, yet God has a purpose and turns things the good. Stay safe and healthy.

No place is a bad place when God is there, even if others are not with us or are against us
