Good morning beloved, happy Saturday,
“The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is their gray head.”
(Proverbs 20:29).
God loves each of us, young and old. There are specific characteristics in both groups. Young people are known for their strength; older folks are known for their wisdom.
Youth is a wonderful time mentally and physically. If you’re young you have strength, but you usually lack experience and wisdom. John wrote in 1 John 2:14, “…I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.”
Old age older people have the blessing of experience and wisdom. In our text, Solomon mentions that, “the splendor of old men is their gray head.”
Not every young person is strong, nor do all older people have wisdom. To us it seems that young people wish they had experience and wisdom to avoid so many pitfalls and mistakes; older people wish they had strength like in their youth. If you have both strength and wisdom, you are doubly blessed.
So whether you are young or old, or somewhere in between, look to Jesus and pray for wisdom and strength. Have a blessed day healthy day.
Whatever age I may be, may I be pleasing, Lord to Thee.
