The Highway Of The Upright

Good morning beloved, happy Wednesday

“The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul.”

(Proverbs 16:17).

Solomon gives us God’s advice to walk before the Lord in righteousness and holiness. The upright are those who are believers in Christ.

Job was an upright man. Job 1:8 says, “Then the Lord said, ‘have you considered My servant Job, and there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil.”

When we get saved the Lord makes us holy and righteous in Christ positionally. Then by the Holy Spirit, we must practice His godly standards, shunning evil. The ways of the world are evil, crooked, and perverse in God’s sight. We fight against the world, the flesh, and the devil.

We must take another path, a straight and now narrow path, the Highway of Holiness. The future glory of the new earth will be filled with perfect holiness. Isaiah 35:8 tells us, “A highway shall be there, a road called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, though a fool, shall not go astray.”

We should not wait until the future to walk on the Highway of Holiness, now is the time to be holy in thought, word, and deed. Have blessed and holy day. Stay safe and healthy day.

Let us be holy, humble, happy, and healthy today on God’s highway.
