-September 2, 2025-
Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday,
“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.”
(Psalm 145:8).
The Labor Day holiday is past and it is back to school, work, or our days of retirement. We realize that we are now in September, and holidays will soon be upon us.
The Lord treats His people with grace, compassion, and mercy. He is so patient and loving toward us. We can cast ourselves on the Lord and trust fully in Him.
• Grace – God is a God of Grace, meaning that He gives us what we do not deserve. He is so gracious in all ways. He showers us with grace.
• Compassion – The Lord is full of compassion. The was certainly true of Jesus. Matthew 9:36 says, “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.”
• Mercy – God is as slow to anger and great in mercy. Mercy means God does not give us what we deserve. God does get angry, but He is slow to anger. Psalm 103:17 says, “But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him.”
May the Lord help us to rest on His grace, compassion, and mercy. As a result we can show grace, compassion, and mercy to others. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.
God deals with us as His children.
