Good morning beloved, happy Labor Day,
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
(1 Corinthians 15:58).
Today our nation is honoring and celebrating all the workers in America. Most people have the day off, but some have to work. We are thankful for all the laborers who who work so hard and diligently to keep our country going.
As believers, we should be good workers, especially in the Lord’s service. We serve the greatest Master! He deserves our very best effort in all things.
The hymn writer James M. Black wrote the wonderful hymn, “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder.” The third verse says, “Let us labor for the Master from the dawn to setting sun, let us talk of all His wondrous love and care; Then when all of life is over and our work on earth is done, and the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
May we work hard for Jesus with all our time, talents, and treasures. Have a happy Labor Day. Stay safe and healthy.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men” (Colossians 3:23).
