Good morning beloved, happy Thursday,
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
(Romans 12:1).
Normally when we read of sacrifices we think of animal sacrifices, with shed blood to make atonement for sin. Thus they are dead sacrifices.
Instead, Paul beseeches believers to offer themselves as living sacrifices by an act of our will. Living sacrifices are holy and acceptable to God
Being a living sacrifice refers to total surrender, commitment, and dedication to the person and cause of Christ. We must present our bodies to the Lord for His use. It is the only way to serve the Lord.
May the Lord help us to be living sacrifices as long as we are living. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.
