-August 12, 2025-
Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday,
“This the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118:24).
Psalm 118 is beautiful psalm, packed full of meaning. The title is, “Praise God for His Everlasting Mercy.” The psalmist wrote in Psalm 118:4, “Let those who fear the Lord now say, ‘His mercy endures forever.’”
God showers us with His mercy each and every day. Everyday is a gift from God, and a great blessing to us. Lamentations 3:22-23 says, Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions they fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
Since God gives us a new day and fresh grace, let us choose to rejoice and be glad. Somedays are not easy, still we will rejoice in who God is and what He has done for us. God made the day and gives it to us.
Paul wrote in Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Paul repeats the word rejoice twice for emphasis. Then we remember that Paul wrote this epistle while in a Roman prison cell. If Paul could rejoice, why can’t we?
Two days are never alike, let is rejoice and be glad today, thanking Him in everything and for everything. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.
A joyful heart is a thankful heart; and a thankful heart is a joyful heart.
