Faith Comes By The Word Of God

Good morning beloved, happy Monday,

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

(Romans 10:17).

There is power in the Word of God to transform our lives. It is our map, compass, instructional manual, and daily food. We need it daily.

Paul speaks of salvation by grace through faith alone. The Bible shows how to be saved and how to live for Him in this world. We need to read it, study it, meditate on it, obey it, and apply it to our lives.

Paul wrote to Timothy, his son in the faith, the young pastor in Ephesus, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3;16-17).

We don’t need anything more than the Word of God. All other books, like commentaries, devotionals, and other Christian books are good, they are like vitamins, but they can’t take the place of the Bible. God uses His Word to create, strengthen, and grow our faith.
