Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday,
“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
(Philippians 1:21).
All of us have but one life to live for Christ. It was true of Paul and all the apostles. There are no pause buttons or rewind functions in this life. We are all given just twenty four hours a day, one hundred sixty eight hours per week.
No one can buy more time. Only the Lord knows how many years we will live here on earth. One thing we know is that we will spend eternity with Christ in heaven. How we live is what really counts.
Our God is more concerned with what we do than what we planned to do; more with how we live than how we die; more with our availability than our ability. A truly committed Christian lives for Christ and serves Him daily.
The fewer regrets we have the better. Paul wrote at the end of his life, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). The great man of God, C.T. Studd once said, “If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice is too great for me to make for Him.”’
There is a great hymn entitled, “Only One Life.” The chorus says, “Only one life soon it will pass, only what’s done for Christ will last. Only one chance to do His will, so give to Jesus all your days, it’s the only life that pays. When you recall you have but one life.”
May the Lord help us to give our all, our whole heart living fully for Christ. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.
Surrendering all to Christ never seems enough to do for Christ.
