Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday,
“To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
(Ephesians 3:19).
If you have ever run out of gas, you know how embarrassing and terrible it is. It stops us from moving and delays our getting to our destination. That is bad enough, but when a person is empty, it is much worse.
I recently received a small package from Amazon, and on the box it read, “Without you, I am empty.” Cleaver, and quite provocative, especially when I think that I am empty without Christ. He alone fills me.
When Christ is in us we are truly full. We are never empty again. e
So many people are empty without Christ. They feel their life is purposeless. It is sad to have no hope, nothing to look forward to.
Solomon recognized what life is apart from the Lord, “Vanities of vanities,’ says the Preacher; ‘Vanities of vanities, all is vanity’” (Ecclesiastes 1:2, Ecclesiastes 12:8). He repeated twice in Ecclesiastes because nothing on earth satisfied him, all was vanity. Today, people are empty, lonely, and sad.
Praise God we as believers are not empty, but rather we filled with all the fullness of God. God loves us and makes all the difference in our lives. It gives us an opportunity to share we others what Christ has done for us. If we were a glass, we would be filled to the brim and overflowing.
Have a blessed day thanking our Savior for filling us. Stay safe and healthy.
When Jesus fills us we will be full forever.
Dean
