Good morning beloved, happy Friday,
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
(1 John 5:11-12).
Millions of dollars are spent on life insurance policies. These policies are good and necessary. They insure that when one dies, money goes one’s beneficiary. For so many people, life insurance is a part of preparing for the future, not for ourselves but for our loved ones.
But there is something better than life insurance, it is life assurance.
Life assurance provides us both now and for all eternity. John wrote why this so important in the next verse, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God” (John 5:13).
No believer in Jesus Christ should fear death or eternal judgment. Our life is securely in Christ. We are in the hands of Jesus and our Heavenly Father. Nothing on earth or in heaven can change that.
Jesus said in John the comforting words of assurance and security, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch you out of My hand. My Father, who has given try hem to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.”
We are great assurance! What great security we have in Christ! The words of truth are sure and steadfast. The little yet powerful word “know” is such an encouragement.
Do you know Jesus? Then you can know that you have eternal life. Don’t let the devil disturb your peace. Have a blessed day on the Solid Rock. Stay safe and healthy.
Our hope, our reservation, and our inheritance is assured by God Himself.
