Good morning beloved, happy Tuesday,
“May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
(Psalm 115:15).
The unknown psalmist wrote this beautiful psalm. All of us need the Lord to bless us. He recognized this and used the word “bless” five times in Psalm 115:12-18.
The blessing of God is so important that it is included in the Aaronic or Priestly Blessing in Numbers 6:24-26, saying, “The bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”
When someone asks God to bless us, He will bless us. My favorite thing to say to someone who has a birthday is, “Happy Birthday! May God richly and abundantly bless you.” We want people to enjoy parties with families, wonderful gifts, dinners out, and all the rest. But God’s blessing is the best thing we can pray for their lives.
We should pray the God would bless His church, our nation, our government and spiritual leaders, soldiers, our police officers, our firefighters, and all those who serve us and protect us. Boaz in the book of Ruth said to those who worked for him, “The Lord be with you.” They answered, “The Lord bless you” (Ruth 2:4).
God’s blessing includes spiritual, mental, physical, material, and financial blessings. God delights to bless us beyond what we could ask or think.
Let us call upon the Lord’s blessings upon His people. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy, happy, humble, and holy.
God will bless us so that we can be a blessing to others.
