By The Grace Of God

-June 2, 2025-

Good morning beloved, happy Monday,

“But by the grace of God I am what I am; and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

(1 Corinthians 15:10).

Like many of us we are uncomfortable speaking of ourselves. He deflected praise to the Lord and his fellow servants. He never sought the limelight or was self oriented.

Paul was saved by grace through faith and gave the Lord Jesus all the glory. Not only was he saved by grace, he was kept by grace and strengthened by grace. Grace is God’s unmerited favor that He lavishes upon us.

Paul uses the word grace twice in today’s verse. He says, “I am what I am by the grace of God.” We can learn the lesson that all that we are, all that we have, all that we do, all that we speak, and all we achieve in this world is by the grace of God.

God made us just how He desired and uses us to accomplish His will. Paul was centered, grounded, and focused on Christ. He lived for the Lord and served Him using the gifts God had given him. He refused to be distracted from his mission to preach the gospel and teach the Word of God.

The hymn writer Annie Johnson Flint wrote the hymn, “He Giveth More Grace.” The chorus says, “His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power has no boundary known unto men; For out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.”

May all we do be done by the grace of God and for the glory of God. Have a blessed day. Stay safe and healthy.

Just automobiles run on gas, we run on grace. His your tank empty or full?
