God Says, “I, Even I.”

Good morning beloved, happy Saturday,

“I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior.”

(Isaiah 43:11)

Whenever God speaks, we should listen. The Bible is the only book that has God speaking in the first person. Five times in Scripture we find this expression, “I, even I.”

The other four references are: Deuteronomy 32:29; Isaiah 43:25; Isaiah 51:12; and Ezekiel 5:8). God says that He is the only Savior, He blots out our transgressions, He comforts us, and He rebukes us.

All other gods are mere idols and false gods. Paul said in Acts 17:28-29, “For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your poets have said, ‘for we are also His offspring. Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by man’s devising.”

Our God is the mighty God, the living God, the loving God. He speaks to us through His Word; We just have to listen to Him.
