Each One Has A Part

Good morning beloved, happy Thursday,

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”

(1 Corinthians 3:6).

One the the biggest problems in the church in Corinth was divisions. There was way too much carnality. Some followed Paul, others favored Apollos. Paul wrote, “For when one says, ‘I am of Paul,’ and another, ‘I am of Apollos,’ are you not carnal?”

We all belong to Christ, and everything we have we share in Christ. There is no room for rivalry or competition among God’s servants. Everything we do, we do for the Lord, for the same goal of saving souls and the building up of God’s people.

It is God who does the work through us. He gives the increase. Sometimes we plant the seed, others water it, and still others reap the harvest. All tasks are equal and all are important to o God. God gets all the glory.

Paul also said, “For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building” (1 Corinthians 3:9). We serve together, side by side. We need each other, and most of all we need the Lord.

May the Lord help us to do our part in the kingdom of God. Stay safe and healthy.
